I built a pine tree for my Big Pine Mine On30 layout that is two feet tall! This tree is made from a piece of bass wood with holes drilled into it and the branches made from JTT wire branch structures. I then painted glue on top of the branches and covered them with static grass to represent the pine needles. The tree is pretty easy to build and looks great. I just need to add some tiny pine cones and maybe a few birds and squirrels to finish off the tree. JTT tree branches:.
