A look at the Atlas N Scale GP40-2 locomotives in both DCC and DCC Ready (DC) versions along with how to upgrade the DC version to DCC. Upgrading the DC versions to DCC are amazingly easy to do. The board installed on the DC versions simply slides out, and the ESU DCC and DCC with sound boards simply drop and slide in. No fiddling, wiring, soldering, or other work is needed. Further, the shells on these Atlas GP40-2s just slide off. There is nothing to unscrew or tabs to try and release. I like them so much I bought three of them!
